Do I need a platform ?

Where there is a short bend (or 'fan') at the head of the stairway, there is the option of fitting the Multi-Flight Stairlift. Alternatively, where there are only a few steps in the bend to negotiate, a manual or electrically operated Bridging Platform may be a more attractive option..

Manual Bridging Platform

The automatic powered Bridging Platform is the ultimate in ease of use. This unique design allows the platform to fold away automatically as you descend the stairs, and then move into the operational position as you ascend the stairs.

This Platform is fully integrated into the stairlift and its digital diagnostic system, ensuring that the battery power keeps both the stairlift and Platform operational in the event of a power cut.
